7 ways we demonstrate service excellence

We demonstrate our commitment to service excellence in specialist cleaning through accreditation, certification, and corporate memberships.

service excellence at REACT specialist cleaning
At REACT, we take pride in going beyond the everyday in our specialist cleaning practice.

We’re confident that we provide consistently excellent specialist cleaning. Across a range of sectors, and with a host of services, we work hard to clean beyond the everyday. But to be successful, it helps to be able to demonstrate to others that this is the case. And we always aim to stand out from the crowd. In this blog, we take a closer look at seven certifications and membership schemes, and what they say about our services.

Accreditation provides evidence of service excellence

From hotels to prisons or crime scenes, public spaces to private hospitals, cleanliness is either a commercial requirement or a regulatory necessity. We work with several high-profile organisations across these sectors, and our clients expect excellent service. For instance, we’re on hand to deal with spills which could become trip hazards. And we can remove anti-social contamination such as graffiti, chewing gum, or needles and sharps. We hold seven accreditations that help us to demonstrate our approach to service excellence throughout our specialist cleaning business.

  1. The British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc). As the largest independent, professional, and educational body within the cleaning industry, BICSc aims to raise standards across the sector. We’re a corporate member of the body and we share their commitment to protecting our operatives, preserving assets, promoting sustainability, and producing best practice. Alongside them, we’re focused on providing a clean and safe environment for all our clients.

  2. BS-EN-ISO 9001:2018 Quality Management. This ISO demonstrates we have a commitment to overall quality management. Put simply, ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems (QMS). To achieve this certification, our business meets the exacting standards set out in the ISO 9001 guidelines. This provides a powerful business improvement tool, which continually monitors and manages quality across our company, identifying any areas for improvement and development opportunities.

  3. ISO 14001 Environmental Management. Under this ISO, we continuously work to improve our own environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste. We’ve developed an environmental policy that reflects our commitments and established a robust environmental management system (EMS). And to burnish our environmental credentials further, we’re an upper-tier licensed waste carrier.

  4. Constructionline. This scheme works with construction buyers and suppliers to provide a deeper understanding of their needs. By being accredited with Constructionline, we’re part of a validated pool of high-quality suppliers that keeps abreast of changing regulation. We work to enhanced PAS 91 criteria, demonstrating, and validating our commitment to health and safety. PAS 91 is a standardised prequalification questionnaire, developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), simplifying our processes when bidding in construction procurement.

  5. CHAS. The CHAS scheme helps us as contractors to ensure compliance across different areas of risk management and mitigate risks across our clients’ supply chains. By taking part in the new Common Assessment Standard, we’re audited annually to show we meet the standards of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). This shows we deliver against health and safety benchmarks in a range of industries, and we help to make the world of work a safer place.

  6. Safe Contractor. By being Safe Contractor approved, we can demonstrate that we operate under the highest of health and safety standards. The standards cover core elements including health and safety policies, risk assessment and first aid in a range of work activities and welcomes all types of contractors. One of the strands of the scheme is cleaning, which is of course the area in which we shine.

  7. RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme). As the UK rail sector’s supplier assurance scheme, RISQS is run by the industry, for the industry, under the stewardship of RSSB (a not-for-profit company owned by major rail industry stakeholders). We know that RISQS remains central to the safe and cost-effective procurement of railway products and services. And it helps us to provide assurance for all the 90-plus buyers in the sector. What’s more, we know that working in the rail sector is particularly specialist work, which is why we ensure that all our trackside staff are fully qualified and Personal Track Safety (PTS)-certified.

High levels of customer satisfaction as we go beyond the everyday

Aside from certifications, we’ve got another way of showing that we’re good at what we do. Our customers give us consistently high ratings for the speed and quality of our cleaning services. We take pride in being the best that our expertise and experience in specialist cleaning allow us to be. It’s this that means we can go beyond the everyday across our specialist cleaning practice.
