Covering interior and exterior cleans, our scheduled train carriage cleaning service provides benefits for operators and passengers alike.
Right from the beginning of the railways in the mid-nineteenth century, timetables have been vital in managing services. In fact, the railways were instrumental in adopting a single standard time across Great Britain in the 1840s. Of course, schedules are even more important in today’s more complex rail network. It’s what makes passengers’ journeys reliable, and what helps operators deliver on their contracts. Here at REACT Specialist Cleaning, we keep to timetables too. Our regular, scheduled train carriage cleaning services ensure that train carriages stay clean both inside and out.
Covering rolling stock, inside and out
We’re experts in providing a scheduled and thorough cleaning service for train carriages. Whatever state they’re in, we return them to service efficiently. Our experienced team use quality products and proven techniques to clean carriages both inside and out. By ensuring consistent and reliable cleaning, we deliver safe, hygienic, and pleasant environments for passengers while enhancing the reputation of train operators.
We focus on hygiene for passengers, as well as safety for staff, with our interior cleans. We remove any litter, exchange bin bags, and disinfect surfaces, focusing on common touchpoints. We vacuum-clean floors of dirt, fluids, and food waste, and clean the inside of windows. And we clean seats and eliminate odours.
For exterior cleans, the issues are often around visibility for drivers and passengers, and clarity of train operator branding. We resolve deficiencies that arise from carriage-wash machines. This human intervention ensures that exterior and interior branding is clear and legible. We use appropriate methods to clean surfaces whether they are painted or feature high-performance self-adhesive films and printed graphics.
Scheduled train carriage cleaning for every eventuality
We provide a wide range of regular train carriage cleaning services for train operators. Of course, most rolling stock is leased to operators, so we’ll be there for them at every stage of their leasing contract:
Pre-acceptance cleans – This service delivers a thorough clean for new train units, after testing and before being accepted into service.
Daily Clean – At the end of a unit's service shift, we will conduct a regular clean. This includes thorough vacuuming, exchange of bin bags and litter-pick-up, and window cleaning.
Turnaround Clean– When it's essential to get the unit back in service quickly, we can perform a rapid turnaround service. We’ll resolve critical issues, such as refuse collection and replacing bin bags.
PHC (Planned/Periodic Heavy Clean) – Deep cleans form part of the scheduled/planned maintenance of a unit and can be conducted day and night.
'Return to New' Clean – Years of heavy use can lead to a build-up of grime, internally and externally, in hard-to-reach places. Our team will aim to return the unit to an 'as new' level of cleanliness.
